What happens when you point AI at a junk truck?
We run 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Seattle. Every day, our trucks roll through the city — hauling away old furniture, clearing out storage units, demolishing what people leave behind.
We photograph every job. Thousands of images. Old chairs, rusted tools, forgotten corners of basements and garages.
Then we pointed AI at the junk and asked: "What art is hiding in here?"
AI saw what we couldn't. It identified beauty in the discarded — materials, textures, forms that had a second life waiting inside them.
Then we handed those items to real, local artists. Filmed them upcycling junk into original art. The AI's eye, the artist's hands.
The upcycled pieces go to auction. The proceeds go to charity.

Ärt by NWA — Never Wick Again
On July 24 our collaborator Ärt by NWA showcased at a Fremont Friday artist meet-up in Seattle — cans out, boards up, painting live on the street while people watched it happen.
This is the crew behind the work. Rescued material goes to artists like NWA, they make it into something worth owning, and the finished pieces come back to the auction floor.

We took the junk to the Seattle Art Walk
A chair came off our trucks instead of going to the landfill. Ärt by NWA painted it. On the first Thursday of August we loaded it into a pickup, staged it in a Pioneer Square alley, and walked it into 210 Gallery for the Seattle Art Walk. This is the loop, working — before any auction paddle is raised.
Four months a painter
Here's the part we're proudest of. Ärt by NWA — Never Wick Again has only been painting for about four months. We've backed him for more than one of those months.
We gave him the canvases. He brought the talent, the hours, and the nerve. Four months in, he went from posting work on social media to hanging it on a gallery wall in Pioneer Square, with people standing in front of it.
That's the whole point of this thing. Material we were about to pay to throw away becomes a working artist's first gallery show — and then it becomes money for charity.
The AI behind the find
None of this is a guess. It runs on an NVIDIA DGX Spark sitting in our Tukwila office — our own hardware, our own data, nothing leaving the building and no per-query cost.
- Find Anything — our own tool, built here and running on the Spark. A local vision model turns every after-job photo our crews take into a searchable index, so we can look back through thousands of loads and pull out the pieces worth saving instead of crushing.
- NVIDIA Nemotron — the reasoning model we call NeMo. It writes, summarizes, and checks our work, on the Blackwell GPU downstairs rather than someone else's cloud.
- NVIDIA cuOpt — GPU route optimization for our trucks. We're grading it against our dispatchers' own plans right now; fewer miles per job means less fuel burned to move the same material.
Real AI, on real hardware, pointed at a real problem. That's the whole idea behind Your Real World AI.
